Further Update

Oh hey! This thing! Remember? no? yeah...

Essentially, I started this blog back in the dark ages as a way to document my hobby activities, particularly regarding pen and paper role playing games. Since then I basically forgot about it, until very recently of course.

At this point I've actually got lots going re rpgs and other hobbies, so It's the perfect time to start this thing up again. So without further ado, why don't i summarise where i am regarding nerd stuff?

Regarding rpgs, I've been won over from Pathfinder by the 5th Edition of Dungeons and Dragons streamlined and old school approach. I have already run a campaign up to 5th level, and am starting a new one In my homebrew setting, which I'll probably be talking about a lot on this page. I'm also still a big fan of Warhammer fantasy roleplay's first and second editions, and will doubtless come back to the old worlde in the future.

Speaking of Warhammer, you might surmise from what little I've written on this blog that I'm quite fond of the old world and it's lore. So like a lot of people, I wasn't exactly pleased with the super sexy reboot Warhammer got in the form of Age of Sigmar. I own a reasonably large collection of Goblins, and I thought they would be relegated to occasionally being brought out for a nostalgic game of 8th Edition, until I started getting into Kings of War. It plays like the kind of rank and file game I remember warhammer being before it started to become more decadent (although still fun). It also helps that they don't care what model range you use, so my goblins needn't be relegated to boxes under the bed. My brother over at his blog, has also embraced the Mantic spirit, and converted his Skaven to Ratkin. He tends to beat me a bunch, but we plan on doing a narrative campaign, which will doubtless lead to some battle reports on our blogs. I am tempted to only post them when I win :-p

So expect some roleplaying content, painted miniatures and general gaming goodness.

Assuming I don't forget about this again.
